72-73 Chrysler 440 CI original - will it fit in a 89 firebird TBI 305 CI?
My dad bought it from a junk yard for $100 , works great, I was wondering if anyone new what is the most CI that can fit in a 89 firebird (factory motor and car) 305 TBI? Thanks,:lala:

cid doesn't have that much to do with what will fit. a 427 sbc will fit a lot easier than a 427bbc and the cid is the same, or a 454 vs 502 will take up the same amount of space. be a lot of extra work to make a bastard engine swap work when you could use gm parts a lot easier and cheaper

Why on earth would you want to do that?
Either trade it for a Chevy 454, or buy an old Dodge Dart to put the 440 in!(a little Dart would be scary with a big block)
