Strker kit for L-98, can I use it on an LT1?

Hello everyone, I am seriously toying with the idea of selling my Iroc and purchasing an LT1 6spd camaro. Since I have not yet installed my stroker kit into my '88L-98(vette), would it be possible to use it on an LT1 engine? The stroker kit consists of a :eagle cast crank, rods, bearings, KB hyperkeunetic(mispelled)pistons, LT4 hot cam, compcams springs(#986-16), 1.6 pro-magnum roller rockers, fluiddamper balancer,
any info would be great!!!

you would be able to use it if 1. The kit is intenally balanced and 2. The kit is for a 1 piece rear main seal. The LT1 does not use a harmonic balancer like earlier motors. You could use the rods, bearings, KB hyperkeunetic(mispelled)pistons, LT4 hot cam, compcams springs(#986-16), 1.6 pro-magnum roller rockers. The crank woud have to be a newer style 1 piece rear main and balancing should be done internally. hope this helps.

If he bought it for an 88 engine then it should be a one piece. I believe the only diff between the '87-'92 model SBC and the LT-1 is the water pump nonsense. Help me out if this isn't entirely accurate. They hadn't gone to digital ign. yet had they?

The ignition is different, the crank will still work, the balancer will not, you'll need a timing chain kit for an LT1, dependent upon year of the LT1, if you get a 93-94 im quite sure you can run an older timing chain for the HR's with an electric water pump, stock LT1 timing chain sets arent the greatest.
