help

I just put a 355 with a carb in my 91 rs. I also swapped the t5 for a 700r4. The damn car won't start. the starter does nothing. I tried connecting the neutral swith that went to the transmission and I hold down the clutch to hit the switch behind the pedal but nothing happened. I checked for power in the purple and yellow neutral safety switch wires and the ones that went to the tranny have power but the ones behind the clutch do not. I have no clue what the problem is. Is there something that needs to be hooked up that I didn't use or what. Give me some ideas of what to try please.

have you checked for power to the starter? not a VATS problem? what do you mean "you tried connecting the nutral switch"? you should be able to jumper it to by pass it

I did just use a jumper in between the wires. There was power to the starter from the battery cable (obviously) but the small wire on the solenoid had no power when I tried to start it.

I figured it out. There was a ground wire hiding from me.
