412 sbc

Hey guys, I am about to build a 412 sbc for my bird, it will be a mild build only about 450 hp., I am wondering if my CC-Quad will feed the motor without choking it too much. I asked on the carb board and didn't get too many responces. I have done all the performance mods to the carb. (i.e. new rods and hanger secondary air valve spring. etc.etc). I would like to keep the computer so I don't have to mess with the dist. or the lockup.

if it were me i'd run a holley and trash the ecm, but since you don't want to do that i believe the carb will work, you'll just have to do the tuneing, same as if you went with a holley.

You can get the CC setup to at least work on a 400, if you use a mild enough cam. Having been there and done that with a 400 already myself, I'll tell you that 450 HP with that setup is a pipe dream, because of the intakes and cams that you'll have to use. I finally ended up with a Holley on mine. And all I had at the time was a 282 solid cam.

This is one of those things that Desktop Dyno can't tell you about.
