ok, i own a 91 RS Lo3.
my dad has a 95 S-10
i'm buying a 350 or 400 and rebuilding it for my car
my dad wants my 305 for his truck

does anyone know where we could get the proper information about putting a 305 in a 95 s-10 i'm pretty sure its been done but he wants to know exactly whats gotta be done before he commits to such a job...

what are the specs on the s-10? Its doable on the 2wd s-10s but i hear its harder to do with 4wd.other than that the 4.3 is basically a sbc short 2 cyl.

ok the s-10 is a 95 2wd 2.2L
my dad is wanting to put the 305 out of my camaro in the truck when i get my 350...

so if the 4.3 is basically the same size all we will have to do is maybe move the mounts back some right????

hmm... i donno about the four cyl. All ive heard was swaps from 4.3's to sbc's. I dont know much about the 4 cyl motor mounts or whether the bolt pattern is the same. Ill see if i can dig up the site tonight. I havnt been home yet. Since your planning to go throught eh trouble of anb engine swap, you might want to get a good used L31 vortec to go in place of the 305. My old 305 couldnt hold a candle to the 4.3 in my s-10 tahoe, which in turn cant hold a candle to my 350. Probably a good idea to use a carb. Makes the swap all that much easier since you dont have an induction system.

These are for the older boxy type s-10s but ive seen v8 swaps done tot he newer ones, also. Ill continue looking for that site. I have it somewhere.
