Go Crate, LS1, or LT1?
I was going to swap out my engine, and put in a crate motor (carbed), or take the LS1/LT1 route. However, I am not sure what is in my best interest. I've heard I can get more HP from a crate swap 350 which would be great. However, the LS1/LT1 engines are good for these F Bodies I heard too.
So I am debating what I should do. I wanna go fast, but I just can't decide on what I should do. Who has swapped any of these three engines into there thirdgens?

It really depends on how much you want to spend. The LS1 swap is expensive, however those who have done it run in the high 11's or mid 12's with little or no mods. All this while passing emissions and getting great mileage. I am in the process of this now.
A new crate engine will run you around 5,500 then you will need a trans to go with it (another 2,000.)
The LT1 mods nicely also. I am not sure on pricing, but I am sure it's much less expensive than the LS1 swap in crate engine form.
Engine mounts will need to be fabricated as well as exhaust for both swaps.
The low cost route would be L98. However you can spend more on mods with the money you save. My 88 foruma 350 was a monster. I would have loved to see what the L98 can do with forced induction.

Well that didn't work. It's a 430 hp ramjet 350. The website is www.goautocenter.com
