EFI or Carb?

I am woundering if anyone cold help me decide if i want to upgrade to fuel injection or stick with Carburator. Right now my car is carburated but if i do go to EFI i was going to go with TPI just a used one with wires and ecm off e-bay and a brand new TPi engine and do a heds/ cam swap to somthing like afr's and a lt4 hot cam. I would really like to get 400hp out what ever i do. but i would also like to keep decent gas miliage too right now i can go a week on a full tank so thats what 200 miles a week so 12mpg is what i get right now round about. so i would like to improve it or stay where it is. how hard is it to go to tpi? swap wise? is doing the wireing really ward? i mean routing it and hooking it up this will also be my first engine swap so do you think it be possible for a amature to complete this task?

ive never done a carb-tpi swap

but..

to TPI engnes generally run out of steam around 4500rpm, they just cant pull in enough air.

to fix this, add on the cost of a new runners.

also, and most important, add about 500$$$ on to whatever you plan on spending, things have a way of adding up, with unexpected parts, problems etcetc, specially if this is your first swap.

yea i decide to go carb rout cause it's easier to rip the ecm out than to put one back in. i am just going to get the 350HO Deluxe from Scoggin Dickey good price for a brand new ready to run motor.
