New at this game
Hi, today I just bought myself a 92 RS. It has the 305 TBI engine in it. I am new to computer controlled fuel injection cars. So I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on modifications I could do to give the 305 TBI some more power and better performance. Also I have a 68 327 c.i.d engine that I had rebuilt, it was going to go in my 85 Z28 ( but I'm selling that car now), is there anyway I could use this engine. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The guys on the TBI forum would be better able to answer your questions.
The '68 327 was a performance slug. With cam and head upgrades, it would be a nice upgrade over your 305. As-is, it would be a slight improvement, but probably not enough to make it worthwhile. You'll have a couple of issues, such as flexplate type (two-piece vs. one-piece rear main seal), and dipstick location problems (driver's side vs. passenger side, stock exhaust manifolds get in the way of driver's side dipsticks) - headers solve that problem.

327 rebuild
I had the 327 rebuilt with a mild perfomance package, I'm not sure about everything that's in it, I'm gonna find out though. I know that it was bored .030, prepped and decked, the crank was ground .010, it has all new plugs, seals, bearings, TRW Hypereutectic Pistons, rods, lifters, roller timing set, a hi-perf oil pump and drive shaft. I had the heads rebuilt also, 1.5:1 roller rockers, screw in studs, machined for 1.6 exhaust valves, new pushrods, guideplates, a mild port and polish...... but now I'm gonna need new ones as they were Double hump and have no accesory holes. I was gonna carb it and put it in my 85. I still don't know what the cam is. I want to try and TBI the engine now, just to be different.
Thanks
