383 over 350 ??
383 over 350 ??
is a 383 more streetable than a 350 if they are both pushing say 350 horses?
what is the real reason one would want to go to something like that or even a 295?

A 350 is a great street engine, but a 383 is even better because its longer stroke allows it to make more torque than a 350, thus making it more powerful at the bottom of the rev range, which is right were you want it on a street motor, as opposed to a motor with a really short stroke like a 302 or a 327, which has most or all of its power near the top of the rev range.
BTW, whats a 295?

sorry, i meant 396.......so many numbers lately going through my head.
well actually the real question and intent of my question was to guage what is realistic for a 400+ setup. i'd like a little over 400 rear wheel N/a and then the ability to add a little bit of a power adder on top.
so i suppose in that case it would probably matter right?
