Tbi to carb swap
Tbi to carb swap
I am considering ripping out the stock tbi 305 in my camaro to make way for a nice motor i found from a local body shop. The guy had built a nice 350 for his kid world industires heads, comp cam, aluminum rockers, edlebrock intake manifold topped off with a edlebrock 750 carb all for around 1500 bucks (it has never been run). What all would be required to swap from TBI to a carb setup. A few things im sure of are a new distributer, replacing the in-tank fuel pump with an inline pump and a fuel pressure regulator. What else is entailed in this swap?

I did the same thing that you are doing and all you need is a new distributor and a fuel pressure regulator. I didnt switch fuel pumps, I just used an edelbrock regulator and routed it so one line went into the carb and the other to the return line. I will eventually put on a in-line fuel pump when my old one goes out. other than that I didnt do anything else.
Thats about all i thought that would have to be done. Just making sure im not missing anything then all of the sudden when i decide to swap it that im missing something. Thanks alot.
