I am looking into a GM Crate 350 HO long block, having my L98 reworked with new heads, cam,.... and I have seen this one around. Please take a look and let me know what you think.
THanks

It looks like a decent performance SBC. I would think it would give TPI fits, though (if that's what you're thinking of doing). It revs much too high, for instance, and the "rough idle" and TPI normally don't play well together.
Notice they don't say each engine is dyno'd. Just that "this engine combination", etc.
I especially liked this statement: "Revolutionary 1-pc design molded rubber oil pan gasket with load limiters to prevent over-tightening and higher temperature resistance than standard cork-rubber gaskets." Funny, my donor car engine had that from the factory...

I am waiting to upgrade to a 750 Holley or Demon. I am having my rear end rebuilt, posi replaced and new gears. If I have the money I have considered a package like this. I kinda like the reliability of an 350 HO from GM. THis package could be a POS for all I know.

I am kind of surprised those 220 heads made that power at 5900rpm. I would have guessed it to be at a much higher rpm.

Houston covers 5 counties and 4 million people. I live in a county where there is no emissions testing. However they just brought in emissions testing into the main county and it will be coming to mine this summer. There is a loophole in that if you drive under 3000 miles per year you are exempt from the dyno. I only average 1500 so thats not a problem. I have a primary car (sorry but it is a 2000 Mustang GT) so I dont worry about the IROC.
