Please Please Help!

k here is the thing i got a engine and tranny still stuck to it with everything on a truck i have a engine hoist how do i use it. its a first time for me. and i need to get it off this guys truck does and one have pic or step by step set up, anything info. anything that can help me pleas.

k, now you're scaring me...

#1 priority - SAFETY! Use adequate parts for the load, and a boat-load of common sense. Don't get any part of your body under anything that's suspended. Read the instructions for the hoist, or at least have someone who's familiar with its operation go through it with you, or better yet, be there when you use it.

Tilt slings are a good thing, because they allow you to adjust the balance of the load while in use. Otherwise, you have to pick attach points on the engine at the center of gravity (and there usually isn't any exactly above the center of gravity). If your hoist doesn't have a tilt sling, spend the extra bucks now to get one (it will come in very handy when you go to stab this engine in your car). Typically, intake or head end accessory bolt holes are used to attach the sling or chain. Longer bolts will be necessary, so use Grade 8 bolts (available at the hardware store if you don't have any laying around).

thanks for your help, i found out that there is loops on the engine that i can just hook it on i never new that, and that was my problem. but thanks for your help anyway.
