Well I'm trying to finish up my engine. This is the second engine I've replaced in the car. The last engine was replaced before I got to inspect it but it was SUPPOSED to be a 350. Turns out it's a 305. That explains why it was so much crap. The engine I'm dropping in now just when I thought i was going to be finished yesterday I have to buy a new harmonic balancer, flywheel, starter and fuel pump all because they jipped me out of what I paid for. This time when the engine was broken down these parts mysteriously dissappeared Make it so bad this was supposed to be a friend of mine but I always knew he was shady.

This time around though I'm doing it myself with some help from another friend of mine because he's tired of the mechanic too. He doesn't even want to get paid for helping me and dropping the motor in while I'm at work. So hopefully we'll have it finished up today and I'll have my car back on the road. FINALLY. Been down for a year now.

Sorry, not sure if this is in the right board or not. Just need to rant a little. But what is a good mechanical fuel pump to buy??

 

A stock one for a carbed 86 Z28 would work fine.

 

Holley Carter, or most of the big name manufactuers make good ones.
