Head selection question

I was wondering what would be the best way to find what kind of heads are needed to go on my 357. I was planning on getting the LT4 hotcam and swapping them at the same time. Any suggestions on what is needed to figure it out?

The best way to know what heads to get is to check your bank account balance.

I was just wondering when it was too much. Say a 76cc head compared to a 67cc head. Just trying to figure what to look for.

You'll have to figure out what kind of compression ratio you're looking for and get heads with the appropriate chamber size based on that. Five7kid made a good point, heads are make the power so the better the heads you have the more power, and the better heads you get the more $$$ you're going to spend. I got AFR 190's (retails for about $1300 or so) for my motor and to me it's worth it becasue they make awesome power. Tell us what power level you're looking at and your budjet an we can suggest some heads. We also need to know the CR you're looking for and what pistons you're going to run to determine what size chamber you need.

Currently its at a 10:1 compression. I wanted to keep it around that. Im looking for a streetable engine to put out around 450hp at the crank. And of course, something not too pricey. If it is strongly reccomended though, I do not mind shelling out a few more dollars for some high quality heads.

I would look at at set of Sportsman II heads. They will be enough for 450 hp with a decent sized cam. If you don't want to spend quite that much you can get modified Vortecs which will make 420hp w/ the LT4 hotcam. Dart Iron Eagles would be good also, I'm selling a set for $550, email me if you want more info.
