v6 to a v8 tranny....help!
Im in the process of buying a 92 rs with no motor.
its got a 700r4 trans in it that was mated to a 305.
my question is this...im looking to put a v6 into it just to transport it from dallas tx, to cincinnati ohio. What engines (v6) are easily obtainable, and will mate up to that 700r4.
How hard is this swap going to be? Anyone know about what it would cost to have it done at a shop? thx

a 2.8 is easy to find..and you need a v-6 fashion tranny (700r4)..seems like alot of trouble...may I ask why?
I think it would be easier to put in a 350...no fussing with the motor mounts! ( and alot more)

You'd be much better off renting a U-Haul and bringing it home vs. trying to put any engine in it to drive it home.
