305 to LT1. Fuel?
ok, I've been doing a lot research and using the search but I don't understand a couple of things, what I would need to swap from TBI to Fuel Injection? Do i need some kinda program, I am very program illiterate, also I was looking at LT1 wiring for dummies, I am not a dummy I am worse, I have no idea what that stuff meant? is there any plug and play thing out there?
I am asking now b/c I found a complete LT1 and T56 outta a 96 Camaro Z28 for a good price with everything i would need, except the custom crossmember.... I know this question was asked a lot but I never found an answer to this part of the swap.

Just want to clarify something first. TBI is Fuel Injection, anything other than a carb is. The LT1 uses sequential port injection, meaning it has an injector for each intake port, whereas the TBI just has two injectors hanging in the throttle body, operating similar to a carb.
Now there are two different ways you could swap away from TBI.
1. You could get the enitre TPI injection system and simply swap the intake system. Judging from your post this would seem to be the best way for you, unless you want to try and tackle an LT1 harness or pay to have someone do it. Going the TPI route will be much cheaper and easer because you will basically swap you the entire harness and ECM, everything is pretty much self contained in each harness.
2. The other option is to do an LT1 swap. More expensive, more time consuming, and more difficult, especially for a first timer. The fuel, power steering, and a/c lines all must be custom fabricated, and the wiring harness is just something you have to make a choice on. Buy an aftermarket and spend around $600 and still have to do some wiring, or combine the two harness for free and come out with the same result. The LT1/T-56 combination is a great way to go, especially if you want a manual transmission. T-56's have been proven to hold alot of power, something my T-5 could only hope to do.
The question really becomes how much do you want to spend and how much experience do you have. If the answer is not much on either account, I would suggest looking into doing a TPI swap.
