1986 (305)LB9 to 1990 (350)L98 swap
I got a 1986 305TPI LB9 that the crankshaft bearings are totally gone so I was wondering if these following parts will work on a 1990 350 L98
- Intake manifold TPI setup (stock)
- stock 19Lb injectors
- exhaust manifolds (stock 305)
- heads (valve train)
- 2" centerhole flywheel for manual Transmission from 86 T5
- all accesories(p/s pump,air pump,alternator,ac compressor,stock 305 pullies)
-oil pan
are the 305 TPI and 350TPI ECM the same

Re: 1986 (305)LB9 to 1990 (350)L98 swap
If you are just changing the block, you shouldn't have a problem if you are using the same heads... if you are using the L98 heads from 1990 you will need to drill the intake manifold on your '86 (the 4 bolt holes in the center need to be made oblong to accept the newer intake pattern). since that block is an '86, it has a one piece rear main seal, same as the 1990, so the flywheel should work. The 19pph injectors are a little on the small side for a 350, but they will provide fuel to make it run. Exhaust manifolds and accessories should bolt right up, oil pan should as well. You will need to change your knock sensor, it is different. If you are using the original 305 wiring, etc. you will not have to change the computer, however you will need a 350 PROM for it. Any other questions you have I'd be happy to answer. Hope that helps.
