Out with the old *pics*
Out with the old but not quite in with the new yet
Thought I'd share some pics of what I did Saturday.
Sold the 305 to a guy I know from the car club so he's picking it up Monday or Tuesday. While I was working on getting it out, another guy stopped in and was asking to buy it
and here I thought it would be hard to get rid of.
Here's the last shot of it before ripping into taking parts off.
I was suprised that I could leave the headers on, made it a lot easier.
Then of course the void left that will eventually hold the 350
This is right before taking off the intake which is staying with me for now.
All in all, 7 hours from driving the car into the shop, puting it on the rack, taking the engine out and stripping parts off it. Plus time to clean up the area and tools, then putting the parts I'm keeping in the car. Gonna beadblast the headers and repaint them while they're out, really not bad looking for being in there for 3 years I think.

Awesome! How long did it take you to get it all out? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for the 305? I'm curious as to how much I'll be looking at when the time comes.

Took I think 5 hours to have it sitting on the ground. I drove it into the shop after one last little burnout hehe. The next couple hours was taking the headers and intake off. Also had to clean up the tools and put parts away. I told the guy 300 bucks and he said ok, probably should have asked for more but it's out of my hair now.
Friend of mine who owns a repair shop let me use it
Made things much easier having the car on the lift. The last time I did it outside in the driveway which wasn't all that bad.
MdFormula350 sayz: looks like you have a pretty big work area, lucky you. good luck on the swap.
