Trade my SBP400 for SBC350
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I'm not selling anything so I thought the classifieds to be inappropriate. I desperately want to trade my 71 Pontiac GTO small-block 400 for an 87+ Chevy 350. I'll do an even trade if anyone wants to trade let me know ASAP! Thanks! By the way I'm in MI.

No such thing as a small (or big) block Pontiac... they are all the same block from the 326 to the 455
There may be some that are smaller than the 326, but I dunno.

Yeah you're right, my bad, they are the same block with different bore.
vicV8rs91-you want to trade that LO5 for a 400? I also have a 305 I need to get rid of. I just really want a 350. I'd keep the 305 but the head choices are so limited.

I was getting ready to rebuild it, it still runs with about 90,000 miles on it, but I wanted it fresh for the TA
what kind of shape is the 400 in?

To be honest with you, it has external rust and grease in the bores, but if you pull it apart and get it hot-tanked, it'll look brand new again. It had very low mileage, you kinda have to expect rust with 40 yrs of sitting around waiting to be used. Only thing missing is intake manifold, heads and carb. All rest it complete, a good cleaning and the above parts and you're looking at and easy 360 HP as it came stock with 366hp. Let me know if you need more info.

I was hoping the engine was complete, it will probably cost to too much money to put that 400 into my 84, I could just build the 350 up to 360 hp for the same price, and way less hassle
