Swapping to Carb, From TPI, Harness Experts LQQK
Hey all,
The stock TPI electric fuel pump is functional, and it pumps it's way into the Mallory AFPR, which then of course sends 5psi to the Carb, and the rest back to the tank....
With the weather now getting extremely cold here.... I'm forced to hook up the electric choke (was not using one before), and wanted to know if anyone ever tried this, or if they can confirm it being legit.
On the fuse pump relay, there are a pair of wires that lead from the relay, down towards the ECM.... that bypass the ECM, connect to a clear connector, then lead over towards the fusebox.
I'm pretty sure that the thicker of the two, leads to the fuel pump 'fuse', and from what I was told by someone in 'Electronics'... the thinner of the two leads to the ALDL.
Since the ECM is removed, and the ALDL is now 'useless', can I just simply remove the ALDL wire coming from the fuse pump relay.... and in it's place, run a wire from the relay, to the electric choke?
Sorry for the lengthy post, just wanted to be as elaborate as I can....
Any response, or ideas, would be appreciated, and thanks!!!!

Instead of cutting and replacing the ALDL wire from the fuel relay, just re-direct it to the Carb. You could prolly find the right connector for hook-up at you're local auto parts store, especially NAPA.
