Swap question
Ok I have herd of ppl taking the engine out of a Suburban and puttin them in there 3rd gen, Is that worth it? or will it even work? never thought a Suburban engine would be all that of a perfomace engine. Anyone got any info?

A lot of open-ended questions there. The answer to most of them starts with "Depends".
Like, "Depends upon what you're starting with." If you have a V6 car, you won't have the right stuff from the Suburban to do the job.
But, if you have a V8 car, then the engine itself will fit and work in the 3rd gen.
As for a Suburban engine being a performance engine, again, "depends upon what you're comparing it to". Compared to a 145 hp LG4, it'll probably feel pretty strong if you also upgrade the exhaust after putting the Suburban engine in.
The "is it worth it" question is purely in the eyes of the beholder. I would certainly consider a Suburban 350 shortblock worth my time.

With a little work the suburban engine could perform, but like five7 said, it depend son what you're wokring with.
