What's Most Important?
O.K., 6 months,1 crankshaft and 2 sets of bearings later, my new 355 is finally going in my 88 convert. I get so much different info regarding injectors and computers though. Do I need 22# injectors, or will the 19# with an adjustable regulator work? Do I need a new computer or will the 305 one work? If I put in bigger injectors, do I still need an AFPR?

If it is a 350 go with the 22# injectors and get an adjustable AFPR. 19# injectors are for the 305. You could probably use your computer, just burn your own PROM or get one from a L98.

You can get by without changing any of it.
If you want it to run as well as possible, address all of them. However, MAF isn't as fussy about displacement change, so the PROM tuning probably isn't as important (although a factory-type 350 PROM would help).
AFPR is a good fine-tuning part, helpful regardless of the configuration.

Will 19# injectors at 60psi flow as much as 22# injectors at 50 psi? I've seen the formula to calculate this, but it requires knowing the BSFC of my motor and I have no idea.... The motor, built as it is, should be good for 300-340 hp...also, does instaling an AFPR require taking the intake manifold apart?

it depends on money the best would be the 22# and chip but it should run fine with the stock 305 chip injectors if its a maf system I went through the same thing (305 to 350) Im running the stock prom and injector I have yet to install my apfr and chip but I can still leave stangs any day of the week
good luck and have fun with your new found power

Thanks for the input guys. I guess it comes down to that old adage of "speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?" But I think that since the manifold is in peices now, this would be the time to put the injectors in, so i'll have to srape up a few bucks somewhere.
