I have an '87 Iroc and an '88 Formula. They are both L98 TPI engines. Would like to swap the engines. Any ideas on just how hard this will be? How far back will the wiring harness have to be tracked. Iroc is v-belt and the formula is serpentine.

Reasons:
1. The formula engines has less miles.
2. It has the serpentine setup on it.
3. The AC works very good.
4. I like the IROC better.

Unless someone wants to take the Formula and save it from being dissassemblied. Looks like only 13000 made. No telling how many wrecked. It will have a salvage title from hail damage. I do have some paperwork on that much.

 

ought to be pretty much a direct swap and no need to change harnesses.
