Y pipe, no, Tranny Yes change If you want a 350, 305 will work, but you need a 90* bellhousing. I have a 2.8 with a T5... I want an LT1 or possibly just the L98, but in order to do that I would need a T56 *hell ya* but too expensive , But I do believe that the T5 would work with a diffrent bellhousing with a 305. The 350 will shred it up. The T56 is like 1400 locally or about 1800 with everything you need including pedals and crap on third gen resource, but you and I dont need all the extras, lol.

As for springs I got my 1.6 inch lowering springs off Ebay for like 110 shipped, and they had the Option to get the V8 ones, I dunno what they are normally, but thats what mine were.

Dunno bout mount prices... But if you get the Engine at a junkyard and rebuild it or just put it in i dunno, you could probally pull em with it... But I wouldnt goto a junkyard unless you rebuild. Picknpull here is a bunch of lazy idiots, instead of drainin oil with the bolt, they punched a hole in the pan so I had to go get another pan for $56 bucks.

Good luck man

Carbs have no computer, so you dont need it for the engine, and I doubt that you need it for anything else, but I could be wrong.
The T5 will work for that, but from what I hear, its not exactly a very strong transmission, and dependin how you drive, it MIGHT not last long. They rock, but they need to be stronger

But deffinatly not on engine, they use vaccume and other crap and no sensors, but they do have sending units for the temp guage ect, this post might help https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=216149 :lala:

That's not really true. All carb'd 3rd gens had a computer (except those delivered in Canada), and if you need to maintain emissions legality, going with a computer controlled carb is the only way to do it (unless you go with a later fuel injection setup).

The best place to get a V8 is from a factory V8 donor car. You're going to need so much stuff to get the engine in the car properly, you might as well have a whole car that has all the stuff already.

Where are you getting the V8 from? why dont you just find a V8, get some performance heads, new headers, throw on a carb and toss it into the car? Bolt on the tranny and see what happens. if it fits your in luck, if not well.. just find a junked camaro with aT5 and put your old engine in. Live and learn my friend.
