Which sensors to use???
I have an 89 RS with the TBI 305. I am building a carbed 383 to replace the old 305. I was wondering how much of the sensors and gadgets i will need to keep plugged in to the wiring harness. I am removing the air conditiong system and the smog pump. So how much of my wiring harness will i still need to keep hooked up? If it makes a difference i am using the 89 700R4 that came with the car.

basically there are two harnesses, one from the passenger side and one from the driver side. they are mixed together, so you will need to trace everything and seperate. the passenger harness is your ECM, and it can go bye bye along with the sensors attached to it. when finished you will have your starter wires, alternator wires, and igniton wires out of the driver side harness left. I did this myself, and it only took a few hours to go through it all, seperate, remove, and rewrap...i may have some photos...
