hey guys, im still lookin around for a decent pair of heads for my lt1, i have the cc306 cam in it, and i dont want to run my stock heads with it... and i cant afford the port jobs around here..

Anyone know any more affordable heads for the lt1 that flow pretty well? Flow patterns near the LT4 heads maybe, or whatever you guys think is good for the price, havin a hard time shoppin around for heads.. i almost bought LT4 heads, but the prices on them are just flyin up.. Thanks alot guys.

You might get better data faster on a 4th gen site like camaroz28.com as you're not really asking swap-type questions.

Stock bore size is 4.000" if that helps.

you could get a set of stock LT1 heads for around $200, then take them to a speed shop around you, get a good hand-port job for probably about $600, maybe more, maybe less depending on the shop. My friend just had a set of stock LT1 heads hand ported for around $600, no definite flow numbers but we are personal friends with the guy and he said they'd flow about 250, a little higher than the LT4's, and he's also running a CC306 cam with edelbrock headers. He just got it running tonight so he doesn't have any times or anything, but it should be running pretty strong.

hey

hey , im pretty interested in those lt4 heads .. i too was also thinking about buying a set of stock lt1 heads and get them ported, but most shops around my house "good shops" charging way more than $600..=p but i could be asking the wrong questions.. alot of them want to polish and do a valve job, which i think should be done any way ...
