Harness swap?

Ok, when I finally do my swap (still thinking crate 350 tpi from scoggin dickey)...do I have to swap in a dash harness from a tpi? I have a '90 mpfi v6. I heard the dash is the same, just swap the guage cluster, and the engine harness just needs a few splices.
If I go the LT1 route, is it the same deal? I'd have to swap the whole engine harness, my guess, but how about the dash?

Thanks for the info!

Oh yeah, one more thing...what about the wiring to the Trans? Do I keep mine for the tpi swap? LT1 swap?

I don't know for sure. It would be best, though, I'm sure, to use donor parts from a similar year/model/equipment. I.E., don't try to use '85 Firebird donor parts in a '91 Camaro.

In my case, I swapped the entire dash because the donor was newer than the receipient, and there were changes. This resulted in some "issues" in connecting the dash harness to the rear chassis, but I don't regret the decision.

The tranny harness was part of the engine/ECM harness, in my case. No reason to believe that changed with later years, but perhaps someone knows for sure.

I don't have any experience with LT1 swaps. Check the stickies, I'd say.
