swapping lt1 into 83 with crossfire injection

Will there be any problems swapping an lt1 into a 83 z 28 with a 305 cfi? I also want to swap in the auto tranny.

Nothing big I suspect, I upgraded my CFI car to TPI and again recently to an LS1.

If your car had a TH200C trans (3-speed auto), you'll need to either use an aftermarket trans crossmember, or drill the two rearward holes for the stock crossmember. The TH200C is quite a bit shorter than TH700R4 or 4L60E trannies, and the frame holes for the crossmember are farther forward.

Good deal, that was the only headache w/ my swap. The rest is pretty cookie-cutter type stuff, the wiring is no more of a hassle on a CFI car than the other models.

Nope, it dropped right onto the Spohn engine mounts I installed. Wiring was no more painful than the previous TPI swap. Gauges are a minor hassle w/ the LS1...coolant temp is incorrect, tach is way off, no cable-drive speedo.
