I was just wondering what are the problems i might run into when i take my 85 305 and drop my friends 91 l98

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
Depends upon how much of each you keep.
Also depends upon exactly what the 305 has for induction.
One "problem": The two engines have different types of rear main seal, which means different types of flexplates/flywheels. If both are automatic, simple answer - use the flexplate that's on the L98.
