83 LS1 Swap-Cable speedo
Anyone know where I can get this special "box" and the modified tail housing so I can use my cable speedometer? I'm getting quite desperate and scared since my wiring guy will be leaving the state soon ( i obviously noticed the ls1 guage cluster won't fit at all lol). Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Somewhere on the site is a box that converts the uses the speedo cable to generate the signal required for the PCM.

I think it would seriously be a million times easier for you to get an electronic speedo and forget that cable driven crap all together. Hit up a junk yard or something and grab a speedo out of a 91-92... You'll be set. All you will need then is the digital conversion box's for the accurate speed and tach and ther is a place besides Dakota Digital that is a ton cheaper. Like 25 bucks for the speedo box and 25 forthe tach box. I'll find you a link.

I was a little off about the price, the 25 is for tha VATs bypass.
Hey if your not gonna use the LS1 gauge cluster, how much you want for it?

Gauge cluster is yours for $100. I said screw the stock gauges and went with autometer. Well that didn't turn out so good since my fuel gauge doesn't work. Anyone have idea whats up with that? The 99 Camaro service manual says that the fuel sender is a 0-90 ohm and I bought the 0-90ohm gauge, wtF?! Or is the manual just wrong?
EDIT: I disabled my VATS for .20 cents. The only way its this cheap is if you have the key from the vehicle, measure the resistance and throw in some resistors.
