flywheel tight against convertor after install
I installed a motor this weekend and before the motor was on the picker, I put in my torque converter. I primed it with some fluid, 2 qts, and put it on the tranny, made sure there were three clicks. Please note the tranny is already in the car. I went to drop in the motor and with trying to line it up and so forth the convertor must of just slipped out just a shade cause when the motor was lined up with the mounts, the flywheel was tight up against the convertor. Anyway, I crawled under the car and manually turned the convertor until it fell back into place. I'm just curious, this shouldn't of harmed the convertor or anything right? I just turned the TC about 3 inches until it clicked into place.

As long as you got the TC back in place before you tightened the bellhousing bolts, you're good. Torquing the tranny up to the motor with the TC out of place is what breaks things...and it won't hurt the converter anyway. It'll just destroy the drive teeth of the tranny's front pump.
What J said. The converter should need to be pulled about 1/4" forward to bolt tight against the flexplate once installed, assuming it was fully seated in the trans to begin with.
If you caught it before you tightend it down (or *** forbid, before you started the engine) you will be fine.

You fukt up if you have a flywheel on there; flywheels are for manual transmissions.
