350 heads from a 1970 monte
I plan to put a set of totally rebuilt heads from a 1970 monte on my new motor to my camaro. My question is would these heads fit on a newer block like a 80 and higher block? They are not centerbolt valve cover heads.

Yes they will fit.
Look at the casting numbers. There are several head castings that were used on those cars from the factory. Some of them are EXCELLENT older stock castings; among the best stockers to use, as long as your goals aren't too high, and you can avoid sinking abunch of money into them. On teh other hand, the odds aren't good that a 35-year-old car body still has its original head castings; and no magic will jump out of the sheet metal and inspire a bunch of smoggers that somebody stuck on there in 1983, to greatness.
Casting numbers tell all. Sheet metal wrinkles tell nothing. Put on your blinders, ignore everything else ESPECIALLY the seller's come-on lines, and get the casting numbers. They do not lie. They, and they alone, will tell you what the heads' potential is.

Be sure to check the combustion chamber size, usually a 70's head will likely have a 64cc chamber. Make sure this is comparable to the size currently on your engine.
You may want to do a quick check of the accessory bolt holes to make sure they match also.
Other than that, the heads will fit fine.
