Wiring for 383 swap

I am installing a 383 stroker motor in my 88 sport coupe. It was a throttle body car but I am just going with a carburator. I am running a TH-350 tranny. Im trying to figure out what wires I need and what wires I dont. And I was wondering if I could just do away with the computer altogether. Im going to run the fuel pump thats in the tank with a regulator, an MSD ignition, electric fan, and an alternator. No A/C will be ran. Im going to drive this car on the street so ill still need all my asscories like the windshield wiper motor, ect... Plaese help!!!

Take all the wires that are plugged into an engine accessory and unplug them and neatly tuck them up and out of the way. Keep in mind, zip ties are the greatest invention for wiring since sliced bread, and bread wasn't even invented for wiring, if that is any indication. Anyway, unplug them. You will not need too many

For the new engine:
You can retain the factory starter and charging system wirings
Depending on carb, plug the elec. choke into a 12v ign source
Coil gets 12v ign
You can keep the dash cluster gauge wiring for the water temp

The fuel pump relay will lose its functionality as well. I bypassed mine with a 30a automotive 4-prong relay. Here's how I wired mine:

1 prong gets a fused 12v from the battery. Another gets a 12v ign that acts as the switched power. There's a ground, and the 4th delivers power to the pump. I bought a replacement oil pressure switch/sender and wired the dummy light up. For the power in, I took a 12v ign wire. For the power out, I spliced into the pump power line off the relay. Works fine for me. i can get schematic if you wish.

In short, no need to go unplugging the stuff you will still need, unless it's in the way. In which case, simply plug it back to where it came from.

Well see the bad thing is that the car was already without an engine when i bought it. So i dont know where any of the wires go. I mean I know some wires like the alternator and starter wires. But can I do away with the computer or do all the wires that I need run through it? Or should I just rip it all out and rewire it like an old car is wired? I would apreciate those schematics if you dont mind. You can email to me at racerdonnie13@aol.com THANKS!!
