Deleting the VATS- How?

Deleting the VATS- How?
Can someone out there tell me where/how to delete the VATS?
Just the VATS. I have an '89 TA motor and an '88 Z28 (both 305s)going into older cars/truck.
Have the programmer and spare chips and I'm starting the long path to programming but just for now all I need is to find and delete the VATS files.
Any help, direction, references will be great!
