Which flexplate do I use?
I'm swapping in an 85 305 H.O. engine into my 88 Camaro(305 auto). The 85 engine was from a manual so it comes with a flywheel. Do I need to buy a different flexplate for the 85 engine? Or can I use the flexplate from the 88? If so, do I also need a new starter?

Get a 153-tooth, 12-3/4", 2-piece rear main seal flexplate - application 82-85 3rd gen V8. Your '88 flexplate won't fit. However, with the recommended flexplate, the starter will.
