TBI chip question from swap

Before anyone responds with a comment like "your car will never run correctly until you burn your own chip", please spare me.
That being said, i have swapped a pre-86 model 350 4 bolt main (with the yucky 882 heads)into my previously L03 89 model RS. (auto) I have retained all of the TBI stuff, and have purchased new injectors for a 350 truck, a 350 knock sensor, and a truck ECM (1227747), which is what i need from what i am able to find on here about the subject.

OK....the car runs ok with all of the stuff, but the SES light stays on and will not pull any codes. Anyone else have this problem? Also, it kind of "hunts" for idle sometimes, which makes me think the knock sensor could be bad, but its new.

I am driving this car every day, so it will never see a dragstrip. Is there someone who can re=program this chip or the one from my old ecm (8746) to take care of these things? Also, does anyone on this website do that or would i have to look on ebay or something?

Lastly, i would just like to say that almost all of the things i have run into with this swap are addressed here, and this is absolutely the best website for these cars.

I know you are going to hate to hear this but you have to do it yourself. We cannot spare you of the truth. If you don't your car will never run right or to its full potential. Once you start with some basic datalogs you can see what is causing your motor to behave in the manor that it is. Mail order tunes are like mail order surgery. The person knows what they are doing but cannot opporate on you unless you are there. You need to at least send some datalogs. However, by the time you get your new chip in the mail you chould have burned 100 of your own. TBI chips is a good way to get your car to run and to get started. it cannot be used to make your car run the way it should.
