Spent the last hr reading the posts on different cams and heads
the engine that purchased(350) and rebuild has 602 casting heads,
the engine is bored .030 over with keith black pistons.
the head is mildly ported. but the valves are stock.
is this a good head? or do I also have Junk on my engine.
also, my car already has a monsterous cam in it. and i am planing to change it.
been thinking of useing the XE274h, was reccomended here.
but I am thinking that I want to go to somthing a little above stock, so I can pass smog. wont pass now.
how much power am I looking to gain or lose, if I use a cam like the performer plus? also I have a true 11:1 comp ratio. can I run a stock cam, headers good intake, and my 670 street avenger and break 300 horse and 382 ft lbs or torque like the stupid edelbrock chart..?
if I do, how will it feel with a 3.23 adn a 5 speed?
will I become A joke?
My car hauls now but the engine is set up for top end, but has no torque below 2800 rpms.
