V8 swap questions
I have a 1992 Pontiac Firebird with a 3.1L V6 and a T-5 Transmission. I want to replace the engine with a Chevy V8 create engine. Will a chevy bellhousing (from a Muncie M-21 4 Speed) fit my transmission? Is the transmission input shaft the right length for this swap? Will my hydrolic clutch adapt as well? Any other information you can provide will be appreciated. Please dont send me to other sites to search, because I've already been there. I also read the "V6 to V8 Swap" tech article as well, but I need greater detail.
Thanks.
Thanks.

As long as the munchie has a 90° SB bellhousing it will work. IM pretty sure your V6 hydraulic clutch wont work unless its modified. The slave will work, but the hydraulic portion ( i know i know hte name, but its slipping my mind right now) that pushes on the throw out bearing will nto work.
