tbi swap into carb car?????

we are putting in a tbi truck engine into an 86'

trans am, but don't have the ins and outs of the wiring needed

or even where the best place to start

the fuel pump have been done but we are not sure of the rest like if the stock cluster will even work

anyone have the conversion info for us please we are ready to go except for this

Welcome aboard.

Did you get the entire TBI system from the truck? Meaning all harnesses, sensors, ECM, etc. If so, then basically all you have to do is put it in the car. Some harness lengths and routing may be strange, pass-through holes may be different, etc., but all you have to do is be inovative about getting it done.

Or, go to a junk yard and get the same stuff from a 3rd gen TBI. Should be fairly easy to find. Could probably find the same on the Classifieds forums on this Board.

but


what about the guages will they wrik with the new harness????

Shouldn't be a problem. They're different harnesses.
