question on vortec longblock swap

dropping in a L31 vortec roller with the stealthram and just wondering about the composite timing cover with crankshaft position sensor on the lower passenger side, can I just plug it or what, any info would be very much appreciated thanks

My understanding is that it can be plugged but you might as well run by a auto parts store and get a new one for 20 bucks.(it should interchange with a non vortec cover)
