need more hood clearance
Hey guys im gonna be puttin my 355 that was in my old formula in my new formula. My biggest problem was that i had to run a rediculously small air cleaner because of the dual plane intake manifold. I really dont have the money to buy a new hood. I was wondering if there is a company out there that makes low profile motor mounts. i only need about an inch more clearance to fit a normal sized air cleaner. or if anyone else has any ideas about how to get this thing to fit im all ears.

I've heard where alot get the OEM BBC air cleaner housing - it's supposed to clear the hood, and the linkage.
I got a drop base cleaner housing from pep boys, but I had to add a 1/2 inch spacer under it to clear the linkage and choke, and then switch to a 2 1/2 inch element. I have the Performer RPM and edelbrock on a 350 with new poly motor mounts and that was the only thing I found that worked (I had no luck finding an OEM BBC housing 'round here).
