flexplates?
Does anyone know if there is a difference as far as crankshaft balance for an L31 block and an L98 block? The L31 is 168 tooth flywheel where as the L98 is a 153 tooth flywheel, but are there weights on the 168 tooth flywheel or is it internally balanced on the crankshaft?

If you get a one-piece rear main seal flexplate, it will be properly balanced whether 153 tooth or 168 tooth, whether 305 or 350 or L98 or L31.
