just did a swap and no speedo

Hey guys I just did a swap and my speedometer is not working I have an 86 TA with a 700r4 tranny electric speedo...... I pulled all the emissions stuff but still have the wires in the car. I only have six wires hooked up from the passenger side harness the four for the tranny and the two for the speedo sensor in the trans. From the reading that I have done I seems like it should still work but it's not. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Please guy help would really be appreciated

First question is what did you swap? engine trans...etc as to the wiring are you speaking primarily about the trans wiring, as far as your speedometer is concerned you should only need the speed signal hooked up for the speedometer to work, ( the two wire sensor on the tailshaft ).
