The only cop cars I have seen with aftermarket or moded motors are 90-97 Z28 or the B4C package cars and they are very very rare.Let me explain. Some countys here in Texas where cops have the option to drive a camaro or mustang for that matter buy the car themselves. This is very rare but I knew a Harris county Sheriff about 8 years back who had a LT-1 pursuit z-28 with an aftermarket vortech S-trim.He bought the car himself. He told me he owned the car himself and that the state or county did not pay for any of the mods.He drove it all the time.It was part of that get tuff on dragracing on the streets campagin back in the 90s.Unless it is put in after the car was sold from the DPS or county I would say it is not a zz4.They were never an option for caprices.Either way a zz3 puts out 345hp and 380ftlbs and a zz4 puts out 355hp and 405ftlbs but I think someone is pulling your leg if it is the original motor.
