LT1 SWAPERS! POWER STEERING ON 3rd GEN. Z28
LT1 SWAPERS! POWER STEERING ON 3rd GEN. Z28
hey guys as you know i have a z28 that i have put a low mileage lt1 in
. I have one problem left and its the power steering
. Spending money is not my aim
...the whole project including the car, motor+tranny, rear axel new interior and soon new paint job is about $1800
. so i would not like to spend more....im cheap....
I need to figure out a way to get the power steering on the LT-1 to power the steering box on my z28 r-b steering box. What have any of you swappers done in the past?
also i have a 305 VIN. H for sale as well. $450 with TRANNSMISSION and ALL accesories, including NEW ALTERNATOR and NEW POWER STEERING....runs perfect with 83,--- miles on it

whats a z28 r-b steering box?
What everyone or about everyone is using is the stock 4th gen lines(if they have them) or using '95 caprice/impala line (cost: $35 at o'reileys). Then using just PS hose for the return line.

I cut the PS cooler line at the loop and had some ends made up at a local shop and used stock 3rd gen lines on the side going to the steering box.
