Crate Motor Sugg's?

I have an 88 IROC.. Currently running a p1sc intercooled procharger kit (6-12 psi pending pullley) I wish to retain the TPI setup.. Have 36# inj's and ALL the bolt on TPI improvements if I recall *would have to pull the receipt* and wish to jump into a crate motor.. I like GMPP setup but prices are high... Was thinking the ZZ383 or the HT383 w/some AFR heads..

Any spec's recommended on cam profiles? I am shooting to keep Compression under 9:5 or 9:6 as well..

(don't care about emissions and I already have the chassis/rearend/tranny work all done)

Ryan

if it's a blower motor then build all forged through a local machine shop. Your compression will be dependant on what psi you're running and cam, fuel requirements, etc. I wouldn't use an out of the box crate engine for this, unless you wanted to, otherwise have a shop build a forged 383 bottom end and put whatever you want into it.
