1991 Camaro 305 to 383 swap MSD6 HVC and Coil. Fuel Injectors Not Firing
Situation: Fuel injectors will not fire.
1991 Camaro RS
New 383 stroker motor Re-using the stock TBI system for now
MSD6 HVC Box and MSD Coil.
Mels Ignition HALL Effect Distributor w/two wires (unused)
Magnetic Crank Trigger wired to MSD box.
Engine will turn over fine and will fire on starter fluid, But fuel injectors will not come on. I've heard A Bad Igniter Module in a stock HEI distributor might be causing the ECU to NOT fire the fuel injectors. My system is using the MSD box/crank trigger to control the timing and thus the distributor has no output except for to the spark plugs. Does anyone know what the ECU needs to see from the MSD box or HALL effect distributor in order for the injectors to fire? The MSD has an output for a "Points" style set up, should I connect that to something on the harness that was not used on the HALL effect distributor? Has anyone done this before?
