Ok, I am doing the swap, im am at the point of fuel. I am putting a lt1 into a 89 camaro with that had a 305 TBI. I have read all the info about changing the fuel lines and pump. however i have never worked with in tank fuel pumps (looks easy enough) however my question is:

1. Do I need to change the whole thing? IE the pump and sending unit?

2. if so, I seen a complete set up (sending unit and pump) on ebay that came out of a 93 vette, will that fit?

OR

can i just buy the pump, pull out the unit, replace the pump, and be all set?

Buy the pump (Walbro 255 is the best) replace it and put the sending unit back in, be careful though when pulling the sending unit out and not damage the piece that controls the gas gauge.
