Which would be better?

hey. my 87 iroc is quick, but not quite up to my standards. I know that 305 TPI's are weak engines, so i was curious about some of my ideas. I have a 350 bare block out of a 1980 chevy pickup. Is there any chance that my TPI system will bolt on to this? IF not, does somebody have a really bad-*** setup on a 305 TPI? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

How "bare" is this block? As in, no crank or rods?

A good combo can be made by putting the 305 TPI heads and all of the rest of the equipment on a 350 shortblock. Of course, they'd be even better if you had 1.94" intake valves installed and did some clean-up porting work.

You'll have to use a flat-tappet cam that says it will work with computer controlled induction. And, use valve springs that will handle the new cam.
