Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

Could you be a little more specific about what you're swapping? A 400 engine, or TH400 transmission?

What are you wanting to install?

Re: 87 Camaro 400 trans swap

Different transmission crossmember because the mount sits farther back. Preferably a crossmember with a mount for the torque arm on the crossmember which means normally buying a new torque arm with crossmember from companies such as www.spohn.net
Shorter driveshaft with a different transmission slip yoke.
Electric kickdown switch.
Maybe a different flexplate as the TH400 has a different bolt pattern than the 700R4/TH350 unless you already have a dual bolt pattern flexplate.

The TH400 mount is farther back from the bellhousing face than the TH700, but the TH700 total length is longer than the TH400, so a longer driveshaft is needed when swapping to a TH400 from a TH700.
